- The Superintendent of Education and the Board of Education were convened to hold the Yokohama City General Education Conference in 2021. At the meeting, we discussed future educational policies in Yokohama, and exchanged opinions with an eye on the formulation of the 4th Yokohama City Educational Promotion Basic Plan, taking into account recent changes in the situation surrounding schools, including the impact of the COVID-19 infection and the development of a single-person terminal based on the GIGA School Initiative. We will continue to work with schools, boards of education, related ward bureaus and related organizations to work hard for children in Yokohama.
