We held "Yokohama-shi gender equality promotion meeting" which was meeting in agency again this year and confirmed the present conditions and problem in gender equality, future direction and exchanged opinions. . As we enter the phase of population decline and face many challenges, it is the viewpoint of diversity that holds the key to promoting municipal administration in the future.
Although the issues of “the percentage of women in managerial positions” and “the percentage of male employees taking childcare leave” are increasing year by year, I feel that it is still in the middle of the road. We value the creation of a culture that allows free and open discussions regardless of gender, and we will continue to work together as a whole agency and aim for sustainable municipal administration. .
