"Fire Bureau firefighting first ceremony" was held at Daikoku Wharf, Tsurumi-ku, and "Firefighting first ceremony" in 14 wards (offices) in the city were held at 14 venues.

February

No. 1 Osanbashi C, Kaigan-dori, Naka-ku North Korea (Nine Fire injured)

April

Start of reporting to Yokohama
Midori fire department Tokaichiba Branch Office commenced (rebuilt)
Kanazawa fire department Kamariya Branch Office commenced (newly established)
Asahi fire department Wakabadai Branch Office commenced (newly established)
Totsuka fire department Torigaoka Branch Office commenced (newly established)

Asahi fire department Sachigaoka branch office operations commenced (Rebuilding of Kibogaoka branch office and renamed)

July

Held the 7th Kanagawa Prefectural Firefighting Rescue Technical Guidance Meeting (Fire Academy)
Held the 11th Fire and Rescue Technology Kanto Area Guidance Meeting (Fire Academy)

August

Held the 11th National Fire and Rescue Technology Conference (Fire Academy)
Typhoon No. 10 (1 dead, 3 injured, 106 collapsed houses, 2 flooded houses, 11 cliffs)

September

Typhoon No. 18 (1 dead, 18 injured, 179 collapsed houses, 7,802 flooded houses, 306 places in landslide)
