Yokohama-shi Fire Academy
In order to contribute to the Fire Bureau's philosophy of "realizing a city where citizens can live more safely and with peace of mind," we will educate firefighters and fire brigade members from a new perspective.
Education for newly hired staff (first-time education)
We will encourage newly hired firefighters to acquire awareness as members of society and public servants, basic attitudes, and high ethical standards, and foster a sense of mission as firefighters. In addition to acquiring basic knowledge and skills in firefighting operations in general, we understand basic safety management, improve practical response skills through practice, and provide general responses to citizens (services, citizen services). ).

Education for staff working on site (current education)
We will acquire the specialized knowledge and skills required for firefighting work, the knowledge and skills according to the position (class), and responsibilities, and improve the skills of staff and support career development.
In particular, in specialized education, in addition to working with the supervisory section to enhance the educational content, night training, extracurricular training, etc. will be conducted as necessary to acquire practical disaster response capabilities.
In addition, we will increase confidence and rewarding as a firefighter professional, and foster a sense of acting honestly and fairly with the awareness of being a public servant.

Education for fire brigade Employees
In light of the fact that fire brigade is an integral part of regional disaster prevention capabilities in the future, we will promote fire brigade education with the following four priority items in light of the intent of the Act on Enhancing and Strengthening Regional Disaster Prevention Capabilities centered on the fire brigade.
