Waste plastic recycling plant in Metro Cebu, Philippines
(Yokohama City) has been conducting a project feasibility study and demonstration project (JICA project) since 2012 in cooperation with Yokohama City, and opened a waste plastic recycling plan in May 2017. At this plant, the collected waste plastics are converted into fluff fuel and supplied as fuel to Semento companies and others.
Currently, we are mainly recycling industrial waste brought in from factories, but we are proposing the establishment of a local government system in cooperation with Yokohama City, as we can contribute to reducing the amount of waste landfilled in landfill by accepting household garbage plastic separated and discharged by citizens.
