In response to the 4th Asia Smart City Conference Declaration (Yokohama Declaration), the Asia Smart City Alliance, a platform for sharing knowledge and discussions on smart city development among various stakeholders, was launched.

　ASCA aims to strengthen intercity collaboration for the development of smart cities in Asia, and to convey knowledge about smart city development to the chiefs. We will also apply a comprehensive approach that goes beyond the existing sectoral approach to create solutions to urban problems and promote the importance of long-term vision in urban planning for smart city development. We believe that smart city development is a sustainable social development that strengthens public-private partnerships and integrates innovative technologies to improve the quality of life of citizens of all levels in a visible manner while utilizing information and communication technology.
