In order to maintain safe operation of buses and subways and protect the footholds of citizens, Transportation Bureau revised salaries in December 2023 to significantly increase the basic salary of on-site staff, including bus crews, mechanics, subway transportation staff, and maintenance technicians.
In addition, the recruitment method will be reviewed (the general education test will be abolished), and an aptitude test (SPI) will be introduced from the recruitment selection in FY2024.
