In Minami Ward, the amount of damage caused by special fraud has increased, and as of January to the end of October 2020, the total damage amounted to more than 100 million yen has been reported. Therefore, in cooperation with Minami police department, the Minami Ward Office uses the Kanagawa Prefecture Special Fraud Damage Prevention Measures Project Subsidy as a countermeasure against special fraud by telephone to monitor telephones with nuisance phone calls (special fraud) prevention functions.
