We are pleased to announce that the 5th meeting of the Designated City Mayors' Association “Project for Realizing Diverse Large City System” was held today by Mayor Norihiko Fukuda, Mayor of Kawasaki as the project leader.
At this meeting, we reported on the status of initiatives such as fostering momentum for the realization of the special municipal system, and discussed ways to deepen the special municipal system.
Based on the discussions at the meeting, designated cities will work together to promote activities aimed at realizing various metropolitan systems, such as the legislation of special cities, which will lead to fostering momentum throughout the country.
