[Press Release] About mistransmission of tuberculosis contact person medical examination result

　If a patient with pulmonary tuberculosis occurs, Health and Welfare Center identifies contacts and conducts blood tests as needed.
　In March 2020, it turned out that despite the positive results of a blood test conducted for a contact person (Mr. A) in Tsuzuki Ward  , we mistakenly identified it as negative and notified the person. This was discovered in April 2021 when the person developed pulmonary tuberculosis and the ward received a notification of tuberculosis outbreak.
　We deeply apologize to you and your family.
　To prevent this from happening in the future, we will make every effort to prevent recurrence.
