Planning and implementation of international cooperation projects
By planning international cooperation projects tailored to the needs of member cities and organizations, and sharing the knowledge and skills of Yokohama and Japan, we contribute to solving urban problems faced by members. In particular, until 2022, together with Yokohama City, the chair city of the Disaster Prevention Subcommittee, we have implemented a lot of projects such as regional disaster prevention, disaster prevention education, and the environment (environmental education and garbage issues) mainly in the field of disaster prevention. Since Yokohama City has been appointed chairman of the SDGs Subcommittee since 2023, we are currently focusing on activities aimed at achieving the SDGs.
Conducting training, inspection response, and international seminars in Japan
In response to requests from members, we conduct training in Japan, inspections, and seminars at any time, and provide a wide range of programs coordinated with the government, private companies, and citizens.
Enhance international public relations activities
Through various public relations media, including local media, Yokohama is enhancing information dissemination to the world. It also leads to new business development through information sharing.
