Children, everyone plays a leading role! Yokohama Exciting Plan Draft

Announced on October 16, "Children, everyone plays a leading role! About "Yokohama Waku Waku Plan" draft, we pushed forward examination while referring to various opinions from citizens and compiled the original draft.
This plan will be submitted to the 1st City Counsil Regular Meeting in 2025 as a bill, deliberated by Congress, and decided and announced after a resolution.

Draft, citizen opinion offer (public comment) conduct result

 In Yokohama City, "Children, everyone plays a leading role! For development of "Yokohama Waku Waku Plan" (the third Yokohama-shi child, child care support project plan / Yokohama-shi child plan) (hereinafter referred to as "plan"), we announced plan draft in October, 2024 and carried out public comment.
 In addition to soliciting opinions using drafts and summary version materials, we conducted opinion solicitation using easy-to-understand plain language to reflect children's opinions in the plan. Thank you for receiving many valuable opinions from citizens.
 We have compiled the results of the implementation and the opinions and opinions received, and will announce them as follows.

About "survey for use needs grasp for Yokohama-shi child, child care support project plan development" (implemented in 2023)

For the next plan (plan period: Reiwa 7-11), we conducted a questionnaire survey to understand the current situation and needs of families raising children.

 (1) A survey to understand the current situation of childcare for preschool children and the needs of parents (hereinafter referred to as “Preschoolers Survey”)
 (2) Survey to understand the current situation of elementary school students after school and the needs of parents (hereinafter referred to as "elementary school students survey") (* 1)

 Random sampling from Basic Resident Register (extracted so that there is no overlap between households)
<Number of Extracted Households>
 (1) Preschool child survey: 64,416 cases
 (2) Elementary school student survey: 65,892 cases
 Total: 130,308 cases

 October 1-October 31, 2013
<Recovery status>
 (1) Preschool child survey: 33,321 collections (collection rate: 51.7%)
 (2) Elementary school student survey :31,938 collections (collection rate: 48.5%)
 Total: 65,259 collections (collection rate: 50.1%)
※1: In the elementary school survey, a questionnaire stating questions for the child is enclosed (the answer target is the child whose address is 4th to 6th graders). Of the 65,892 elementary school surveys, 33,068 children in grades 4 to 6 and 12,445 collections (collection rate: 37.6%) were collected.

We held a group talk to think about child care in Yokohama together while talking about the true intentions of child care among participants.

As one of the initiatives to listen to the opinions of children, we conducted a hearing survey with young people who have experienced social care as a base for local activities for young people.
