With the signature of 830,000 people, Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru was moored in Nippon-Maru Memorial Park in Minato Mirai 21 district, and 80 years have passed since the hull was built.
Until now, Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru has been conducting public exhibitions, marine classrooms, and general sailings (expanding all sails), but it is expected that the hull will become aging and the cost of maintaining the hull will be large.
Therefore, the Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru Preservation and Utilization Review Committee, which is composed mainly of ship experts and experts, will be established to provide recommendations.
