Yokohama City Public Building Management White Paper

In Yokohama-shi, we made "public building management white paper" which showed the present conditions of public building.

Last updated on March 12, 2025.

Why did you make a white paper?

Yokohama City owns a huge amount of public buildings that have been maintained with the rapid population growth in the 40s and 1950s, and will become obsolete all at once in the future. To maintain these facilities, a large amount of money is required. As a population decline is expected, there is a major issue in how to proceed with the conservation and rebuilding of public buildings used by citizens.

Therefore, for the purpose of sharing issues with citizens and thinking together about the future of public buildings, "Yokohama City Public Building Management White Paper "was announced in March 2013.

As we updated data to contents as of the end of 2017, we announce "Yokohama-shi public building management white paper (the second edition)".
Note: conservation renewal costs: Costs for inspection, repair, renovation, renewal, etc. necessary to maintain public facilities
