Could you tell me about the Yokohama Loop South Line?
Last updated on December 8, 2023.
The Yokohama Ring South Line is the southern section of the Yokohama Ring Road, connecting the Yokohama Yokosuka Road (Kamariya Junction) and National Route 1 (Kumizawa-machi, Totsuka-ku), an approximately 8.9 km long highway (including approximately 8.4 km in Yokohama city area).
In a wide area, this is a section of the Metropolitan Chuo Expressway (General National Route 468), which connects core cities in the Tokyo metropolitan area, such as Yokohama, Atsugi, and Hachioji.
About 70% of the total Yokohama Loop South Line has an underground and moat-shaped structure.
The two junctions (Kamariya and Sakae) are connected to the Yokohama Yokosuka Road and the Yokohama Shonan Road, which are expressways (automobile roads), and the three interchanges (Koda, Sakae, Tozuka). (* The names of junctions and interchanges are tentative names.)
