What should I do if I need a temporary number?

Please bring required documents to the window of each ward office General Affairs Division General Affairs Section on the route and apply.

※ Depending on the type of car, purpose and required documents, you may not be eligible for the temporary number and may not be able to lend it.
If you have any questions, please contact the ward office General Affairs Division General Affairs Section in advance.

・The original liability insurance card before the expiration date

・Identity verification documents (driver's license, etc.)
・In addition to the above, documents (see below) to confirm compliance and identity of automobile safety standards are required.
Example: Automobile Inspection Certificate
  ・Production certificate
  ・Notification of registration identification information, etc. (temporary deletion registration certificate)
  ・Automobile customs clearance certificate
  ・Certificate of completion inspection
  ・Certificate of registration items, etc.
  ・Preliminary inspection certificate
  ・Certificate of completion of exhaust gas inspection
  ・Imported Vehicle Special Handling Vehicle Notification Form
  ・Vehicle inspection certificate return certificate

Fees

750 yen/1 application

※Payment will be made in cash or electronic money at the counter.
 Electronic money is available for transportation, WAON, nanaco, and Rakuten Edy.
 In addition, payment and charge in combination with cash are not possible.
