About smoking cessation of harbor green space

The Yokohama City Park Ordinance is revised, and parks in the city will be non-smoking from April 2025. Based on this, the port environment improvement facilities (green spaces) of Yokohama Port, which are widely familiar to the general public as well as parks, are part of the Yokohama City Port Facility Ordinance Enforcement Regulations (hereinafter referred to as "rules"). We revise and push forward approach of prevention of passive smoking.

Outline of the Rules Revision

We add rule prohibiting smoking in port facilities that the mayor announces to rule Article 24 to prescribe compliance matter of port user.
※　Manufactured tobacco (cigarettes and heated tobacco) under the Tobacco Business Law are eligible.
※　Excludes when Motoichi recognizes that the organizer establishes a temporary smoking area with the holding of events.

Target facilities

Like parks, it is intended for port environment maintenance facilities (green spaces) widely used by the general public.
※The target facilities will be updated from time to time.

Requests to Citizens

Even in places other than port facilities, the revised Health Promotion Law requires smokers to take care to prevent unwanted passive smoking.
