Hearing Impaired
Last updated on June 12, 2024.
Even people with hearing impairments are different between deaf (people who cannot hear at all) and hearing loss (people who can hear with hearing aids). Some hearing-impaired people have difficulty speaking because they cannot see their words in their ears.
The problem of hearing-impaired people is that they do not know at first glance that they have disabilities. For example, you can't notice if you call out from behind or horned by a car. Be careful because bicycle bells cannot be noticed by those who cannot hear them.
Also, announcements at stations and facilities cannot be heard by hearing-impaired people. It is desirable to have the text information together. For example,
・Information that trains are delayed due to accidents or breakdowns
・Information on train and bus stop stations
Such information can be very helpful if there is a text display.
In addition, some facilities have group hearing aid facilities.
Group hearing aid facilities are limited to the effective range, so if installed, it would be helpful for hearing-impaired people to have a seat in the effective range.
