Application-type research
In order to further reflect administrative needs, improve health, medical care and welfare, and solve administrative issues, such as prevention and prevention of health hazards and development and improvement of test inspection methods, the Health Research Institute conducts application-type research with staff from the Health and Welfare Center and the Market Food Sanitation Laboratory as collaborators. Research and evaluation committees, which include administrative review committee members, are held to select issues and evaluate research results.
Ethics Review Committee
The Ethics Review Committee has been established to examine the research conducted at Yokohama City Inst. of Health in accordance with the ethical guidelines for medical research targeting people (2014 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Notification No. 3).
