Overview
The Mental Health Examination Committee was established based on Article 12 of the "Law Concerning Mental Health and Welfare for Mentally Handicapped" to ensure proper medical care and protection while considering the human rights of mentally ill persons.
The committee is appointed by the mayor from among those who have academic experience in medical care for mentally ill persons, those who have academic experience in law, and those who have other academic experience.
