What is the childcare dormitory rental support project?
If a corporation rents a property in which a nursery teacher resides, the City of Yokohama will support a portion of the monthly rent and utility fee management fee expenses.
The applicant for this project is a business operator (employee). If you want to use this business, please consult with a business operator (workplace).
In addition, this project is a single year (one year). The implementation and usage conditions for the next fiscal year and beyond will be announced on the website as soon as they are determined.
Target businesses and nursery teachers
Subsidized businesses
A person who operates the following facilities and businesses (hereinafter referred to as “nursery schools, etc.”) in Yokohama City, who rents a nursery dormitory and makes a nursery teacher live there
- Authorized nursery schools
- Center for Early Childhood Education and Care
- Small-scale childcare business
- Yokohama Nursery Room, which has been approved for the Transition Plan
- In-house nursery schools
- Home-based childcare business
Target nursery teachers
Nursery teachers to be subsidized shall be those who meet all of the requirements listed in the following items among full-time nursery teachers working at nursery schools.
(1) Persons up to the end of the 10th year of the fiscal year, counting from the fiscal year to which the employment start date of the subsidized business belongs
(2) Persons engaged in childcare for more than 120 hours a month
(3) Person who has never used Yokohama-shi nursery school dormitory rental support project or business similar to nursery school dormitory rental to carry out in other municipalities (including special wards). However, this excludes the use of projects similar to the Yokohama City Nursery School Dormitory Rental Support Project before 2024 or the childcare worker dormitory rented out in other municipalities (including special wards).
(4) Person who continues to use Yokohama-shi nursery school dormitory rental support project in the same company. In addition, after suspending the use of the Yokohama City Nursery School Dormitory Rental Support Project due to maternity leave, childcare leave, or nursing care leave, when returning to work at the same company and resuming the use of the dormitory, and within the same company Due to personnel changes across local governments, those who continue to use businesses similar to renting nursery school dormitories implemented in other municipalities (including special wards) without interruption are used. However, this excludes the use of projects similar to the Yokohama City Nursery School Dormitory Rental Support Project before 2024 or the childcare worker dormitory rented out in other municipalities (including special wards).

Contents of assistance
3/4 of the rent of the rented dormitory and the sum of the utility fee and management fee (subsidized standard amount) will be provided to corporations as subsidies. (Upper limit of subsidy standard: 82,000 yen)
The remaining 1/4 is stipulated to be borne by corporations.
