How to determine exemption from side meal costs
Of the actual cost burden, the exemption of the side meal cost is determined in Yokohama City (for the side meal cost of the private school subsidy kindergarten, please refer to the page of "Supplemental Benefit Business of Private School Subsidy Kindergarten").

About exemption of side meal costs
Of the meal fee (lunch fee), there is an exemption system for side meal costs (side dishes and snacks).
The social security households, households exempt from municipal tax, and foster parents and family homes are exempt from paying side meals.
※Households with a municipal tax income rate of 77,100 yen or less
As for the details of municipal tax amount to use for calculation, please refer to "determination of usage fee (childcare fee) and decision method of exemption of side meal costs" which we guide on pages such as authorized nursery schools.
Renewal time for exemption from side meal costs
In accordance with the determination of the municipal tax amount (May to June every year), the exemption for side meals will be updated every September.
