Yokohama-style elementary and middle school education (before fiscal 2015)

Yokohama Municipal Elementary and Junior High School promotes elementary and junior high school education based on the integrated elementary and junior curriculum shown in the "Yokohama version of the curriculum guidelines".

“Yokohama-style elementary and junior high school education” refers to the promotion of continuous education over the nine years of compulsory education.

Elementary and junior high school faculty and staff should exchange information and collaborate with each other regardless of physical conditions, such as sharing sites and school buildings, and promote educational activities based on an integrated elementary and middle school curriculum for nine years in compulsory education. The aim of "Yokohama-style elementary and junior high school education"

Aiming to realize “Yokohama Children” as set forth in the “Yokohama Educational Vision,” we aim to promote human exchange among elementary and junior high school teachers, share “Scholastic Ability”, “Guidance” and “Evaluation” with the aim of promoting class improvement and improving academic ability.
compulsory education aims to solve today's elementary school student student guidance issues, such as the truancy problem stemming from the so-called middle-1 gap (*) between elementary and junior high schools.
※"Middle one gap": A phenomenon in which bullying increases or school refusals due to inability to adapt to changes in learning content and life rhythms when entering elementary school to junior high school.

"Yokohama version of the curriculum guidelines general rules"-direction of Yokohama-style elementary and junior high school education-
We will show the direction of education based on an integrated elementary and middle school curriculum with the aim of realizing the “Yokohama Children” as set forth in the “Yokohama Educational Vision”.

"Yokohama Version Learning Guidelines Textbooks"-Basics of Elementary and Junior High School Integrated Curriculum-
In all subjects, etc., show the system of skills to be acquired in nine years, and present the basics of an integrated elementary and middle curriculum.

"Yokohama version of curriculum guidelines guidance materials"-base curriculum for elementary and junior high schools-
Aiming to realize the contents and methods shown in the “General Rules” and “Subjects, etc.”, we will present a base curriculum based on municipal schools.

"Guide to Evaluation of the Yokohama Version of Learning Guidelines"-How to Evaluation of Learning-
Shows the way of thinking and ideal of learning evaluation, and clearly specifies "specific evaluation criteria" for each subject.

Elementary and middle school education promotion block

In order to realize educational content and educational methods based on the elementary and junior high school integrated curriculum at all elementary and junior high schools in the city, "cooperative type" (multiple medium / multiple elementary), "collaborative type" (1 middle / plural small), "Connection type" (1 middle / 1 small) constitutes "promotion block".
