New services
Overview of New Services
If the total fare on a single day (from the first train to the last train) with the same touch payment card (credit, debit, prepaid) or a smartphone with the same card set exceeds 740 yen, the excess fare will be discounted.
For example, you can use a transportation IC card to Shin-Yokohama Station a day. → Yokohama Station → Sakuragicho Station → Kannai Station → A total of 934 yen is required for a total of 4 rides at Shin-Yokohama Station, but touch payment can be used for 740 yen no matter how much you ride.
※Up to 740 yen, the unit fare of 1 yen, the same as the transportation IC card, will be applied.
Service start date and target
From Wednesday, March 12, 2025, we will start at all 40 stations on the Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line and Green Line.
Notes
- The fare for credit cards, etc. and the fare for smartphones, etc. with the same card are not combined.
Example: Take a credit card between Shin-Yokohama Station and Yokohama Station and Sakuragicho Station (total of 452 yen) between Sakuragicho Station and Kannai Station and Kannai Station and Kannai Station to Shin-Yokohama Station (total of 482 yen) If you get on a smartphone with the same card, you will be charged 934 yen.
- Touch payments are not subject to transfer, including when the new service is applied.
- Yokohama Municipal Bus is not eligible for the new service.
About ride service by touch payment such as credit card or debit card
Scope of Service
Available at all stations (40 stations) of the Municipal Subway Blue Line Green Line.
How to use and fare
You can use a touch payment card (credit, David, prepaid) or a smartphone with the card set by simply touching the dedicated reader installed on the automatic ticket gate.
The fare for touch payment is the same 1 yen unit fare as the adult transportation IC card. (Please refer to the municipal subway fare page for the unit fare of 1 yen.)
In addition, if the total fare used exceeds 740 yen, a new service will be launched on March 12, 2025 to automatically discount the excess.
[Notes on Use]
・Child fares and discounts for persons with disabilities are not applied.
・Touch it firmly until the card reader reacts.
・If you leave the card in your wallet or card case, you will not be able to read it, so please take out the card and touch it when using it.
Payment brands available
6 brands are available: Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover and Ginren.
※Mastercard® will be added in the future.

Other notes
- For inquiries regarding the settings of smartphones, etc., please contact the mobile phone company or manufacturer contracted to the customer.
- You may not be able to use some brand touch payment cards (credit, David, prepaid) that can be used, such as overseas issuance cards.
