A copy of what was compiled in 1913 as educational materials for Murauchi Elementary School. An overview of the village, such as the number of units, major products, schools and historic sites. Otsumura was formed in 1889 by the merger of eight villages, Mamedo, Shinohara, Kikuna, Taru, Ozone, Futoo, Minami Tsunashima, and Kita Tsunashima. It was transferred to Kanagawa Ward and Kohoku Ward in 1927.

In addition to history, there are also descriptions of shrines and temples, folklore and literary arts, and basic materials for learning about Kanagawa Ward. At the end of the book, changes in population and history of street names are also posted. It was compiled to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the constituency system.

It also contains a lot of materials on flood damage and flood control in the Tsurumi River and Hayabuchi River basins. There is a description of the author at the end of the book.
