Yokohama Trade Shimpo Image
"Yokohama Trading Shimpo" was launched in 1890 as a newspaper for merchants in Yokohama, following the current "Kanagawa Shimbun-sha". In the wake of the earthquake, the company building collapsed and temporarily lost the function of issuing newspapers. However, on September 13, the 12th day of the disaster, the first extraordinary issue was issued. There is only one side up to No. 8, but from No. 9 it has increased to two. You can see the disaster situation and the movement toward recovery. Subsequently, the Yokohama Trade Shimpo was reprinted in earnest on January 26 of the following year.
Municipal Central Library owns No. 1 through No. 30 (as of October 13, 1923) and No. 47 (as of October 30, 1923).
