There are various types of maps, such as detailed housing maps (detailed maps that show the name of the building and the names of residents of each building), guide maps for travel, and road maps. Among them, some people seem to look for an old map to see what happened to Tsurumi in the past.

Here, we will introduce a map of Tsurumi owned by the Tsurumi Library over time. These maps are valuable, and especially old ones are easily broken, so we ask you to browse all inside the museum.

Current topographic map comparison 1:25000/1:1000/1:5000 Yasuo Shimizu, Toru Ishiguro, edited by Kashiwa Shobo 1995
It is a large book of 243p and 43cm, composed of three parts.
The first part contains a quick survey map of 1/20,000 of the early Meiji era according to the current map Kuo of the 1/25,000 topographic map. The scope is mostly the Yokohama city area and the main part of Kawasaki City.
The Tsurumi Ward part is
The second part is a 1/100,000 topographic map that captures the center and surrounding areas of Yokohama in the early Showa era.
The Tsurumi Ward part is
Part 3 is a reduction of 1/3,000 figures created by Yokohama City for urban planning before World War II to 1/5,000.

The museum has two types: Kawasaki-ku and Saiwai-ku, Kawasaki-shi (outside site) and Kohoku-ku and Tsurumi Ward (outside site). There are several colored maps each. Of these, Tsurumi Ward is listed in the former "057 Kaminagawa-gun, Musashi-kuni Tachibana-gun and nearby villages" and the latter "058 Kaminagawa-gun, Musashi-kuni Tachibana-gun, Tachibana-gun, Musashi-kuni Tachibana-gun, and "059 Kanagawa-ken, Musashi-kuni Tachibana-gun, Musashi-kuni Tachibana-gun, Kanagawa-ken."

From Shinagawa, you can go down the Tokaido and see Tsurumi when it was still a few villages.

In Tsurumi Ward, Anzencho (1922 and 1931), Tsurumi (1928 and 1939), and Namamugi (1931) are listed.
There is also a topographic map of 1/25,000 at the end of the book, and the eastern part of Yokohama (1922) is listed in Tsurumi Ward.

This is a compilation of a map of the Kanto region of "Dai Nippon Vocational Specifications" compiled from Taisho to Showa era. Stores, hospitals, factories, etc. at that time are listed.
The Tsurumi Ward part is from 1931. On the back side, there is an index by occupation in order of Iroha.

You can see a map of inhabitants of each ward, flood hazard map, traffic-related maps, etc.
If you are from Tsurumi Ward, you can see the Tsurumi Ward Residents' Life Map, Tsurumi Highlights 90, and Tsurumi Child Care Information Map (GIS version), which collects information on local child care.
These maps are convenient because they can be superimposed on the basic background map with aerial photographs and topographic maps of the Showa 30s.
