Yokohama City has designated the "flood damage Countermeasures Area" based on the Yokohama City Sewerage Ordinance, with the aim of promoting flood countermeasures through public-private partnerships in response to frequent local heavy rains.
※What is the flood damage Countermeasure Area?
For the purpose of effectively promoting inundation countermeasures, the Sewerage Law (Law No. 79 of 1958) was revised and newly stipulated in July 2015, and localized heavy rain (so-called guerrilla downpours) Areas where it is necessary to promote inundation countermeasures through public-private partnerships for frequent occurrences of rain).
