In Great East Japan Earthquake, sewage facilities in affected areas were severely damaged and had a significant impact on citizens' lives, including restrictions on the use of toilets and flooding of sewage from manholes. In response to such earthquakes, continuing sewerage work even in the event of a disaster is an urgent issue, and Motoichi immediately worked on the formulation of the “Sewerage Business Continuity Plan (BCP)” and “Yokohama City Sewerage BCP [Earthquake / tsunami] ".
In recent years, river flooding has affected sewerage facilities throughout the country, and measures against flood damage have been required. Therefore, we devise Yokohama-shi sewer BCP [flooding edition] newly and raise sewer business continuity power.
