In Motoichi, the design of the manhole cover was changed to one of the symbols of Yokohama "Bay Bridge" from October 1, 1997.
After drafting several design proposals in Shimo Water Works Bureau, the citizens voted at a facility tour event called "Sewer College" and selected them as reference.
