Last updated on December 16, 2024.

Overview of the Recycling Phosphorus Recovery Demonstration Project

Overview of Business

In fiscal 2022, in collaboration with Motoichi and Tsukishima JFE Aqua Solutions Co., Ltd., the B-DASH Project has developed a technology to efficiently collect phosphorus from sewage sludge. It was adopted on February 28, 2023 (the second supplementary budget for fiscal 2022). The demonstration facility was completed on March 27, 2024, and the collection of recycled phosphorus has begun on a trial basis.
※B-DASH Project: The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). By accelerating R&D and practical application of new technologies, we will reduce costs and create renewable energy in the sewerage business. At the same time, we will support the overseas expansion of the water business by Japanese companies.

Efforts to convert recycled phosphorus fertilizers

Cooperation agreement on promoting the use of fertilizer for sewage reclaimed phosphorus

In July 2023, we concluded a partnership agreement with JA Yokohama and JA Zenno Kanagawa to promote the development and manufacture of fertilizers containing recovered phosphorus and to promote the use of distribution mainly in the city.

Registration of recycled phosphorus fertilizers and production of recycled phosphorus compound fertilizers

The recovered recycled Lin has registered fertilizer with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries so that it can be used as a raw material for fertilizer.
In the future, we will manufacture recycled phosphorus fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphoric acid, and potassium in a well-balanced manner so that they can be applied to a wide range of crops such as vegetables and flowers, and conduct trial cultivation at JA Yokohama's field.

Yokohama-born recycled phosphorus PR logo mark Hama Tourin

The collected recycled phosphorus was named "Hama Touring Lin" as a recycled Lin born in Yokohama.
It is a coined word that combines "phosphor" with the appearance of being born and regenerated from the resources of Yokohama citizens in the word "circle".
The PR logo below is based on the infinite mark as an image of regeneration, circulation, and circular, and is based on the motif of Futaba, a plant that sprouts and grows from the regenerated phosphorus.
