The appeal of agriculture

Last updated on May 8, 2023.

Maioka Hometown Village is promoting the community development, which protects and nurtures Maioka's important industry, agriculture, with the aim of "agriculture directly connected to citizens" based on "interaction between cities and rural areas." The beautiful paddy fields, which have become scarce in the city, spread in front of Maioka subway station, and the appearance of spring green turning golden in autumn has become a treasure of Maioka.

Rich agricultural resources

  • Fields that produce fresh and delicious vegetables and fruits
  • Greenhouses that produce ripe tomatoes and cucumbers
  • Greenhouses that produce cute and beautiful flowers
  • An orchard where you can cut off moss
  • Potato digging garden where you can enjoy the scent of the soil
  • Bamboo grove which is fun to find bamboo shoots
  • Pork farms that produce high-quality pork

Rice fields, fields, and bamboo groves are owned by farmers. Please enjoy the view from the walking path without going inside. )
