Overview of Wind Power Generation Project in Yokohama

locally grown and consumed of Renewable Energy Electricity
　From midnight on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, we started locally grown and consumed's efforts to supply renewable electricity generated by Hamawing to businesses in the city.
　"IKEA Yokohama", which has contracted 100% renewable electricity "Zero Emi Plan R" from the retail electricity company "Urban Energy Co., Ltd. (outside site)", and "Hamburg Restaurant Surprised Donkey Aobadai store, Tsurumi store (outside site) ".

Application has been closed.
　In fiscal 2022, we will promote the “Hama Wing Electricity locally grown and consumed,” which supplies renewable energy electricity from the Yokohama Wind Power Plant (Hama Wing) to customers in the city by utilizing the “Renewable Energy Electrical Supply Contract”. In support of this approach, we selected city retail electricity company which could cooperate by open call for participants.

　Approximately 55% of the funds for the construction of the Yokohama Wind Power Plant were procured by citizens from the public participation market public offering bond "Kazaguruma". The remaining 45 percent is funded by the National Research and Development Agency New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). All publicly offered bonds were redeemed in fiscal 2016.
　Operating expenses for maintenance and management for the purpose of stable operation and dissemination of parent-child wind power generation tours are made up of revenue from electricity sales of wind power generation and sponsorship from businesses.
　In the Yokohama City Wind Power Generation Project, citizens, businesses, and the government work together to promote the spread of renewable energy.

　We work on business systematically, efficiently and stably, and devise accounting management plan so that this account contributes to promotion of soundness of Motoichi finance and improvement of transparency.
