Maintenance of excellent buildings, etc.

This is a system supported by Yokohama City for the maintenance of buildings that contribute to the formation of good urban areas, such as communalization of fragmented sites in existing urban areas and advanced use of land and securing open spaces. This is an optional business that does not require procedures based on the Urban Redevelopment Law.

Target area

Requirements for Sites, etc.

  • Two or more right holders conduct business jointly using the site (in the case of two right holders, etc., in the enforcement area, narrow land less than 200 square meters or irregular land together in the enforcement area must be included.
  • The area of the enforcement area must be at least 1,000 square meters
  • To secure a certain amount of open space on the premises
  • Site area must be at least 500 square meters
  • The site must be in contact with a road with a width of 6 meters or more at least 4 meters
  • There must be a building on the old site. Provided, however, that this shall not apply to the land that has been relocated in the land readjustment project or the area where the city plan has been determined.

Requirements for Buildings

  • The building must be fire-resistant on the third floor or higher.
  • Corridors and stairs of buildings do not interfere with traffic of elderly people.
  • Uses other than houses should not adversely affect the surrounding environment, etc.
  • Forms, colors, etc. of buildings, etc. are not significantly inconsistent with the surrounding landscape.

Main contents of support

A subsidy will be issued for some of the costs required below.

  • Research and design plan for building design, etc.
  • Land improvement, such as the removal of buildings
  • co-operated facility maintenance of open space and aisles
