1st Odori Park demonstration experiment (March 2017)
Last updated on April 1, 2024.
We conducted a demonstration experiment using Odori Park!
We conducted demonstration experiments using Odori Park on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25, 2017. For two days, chairs, tables, etc. were set up in the park, and many people, including people in the surrounding area, spent a relaxing time.
Thank you very much for the cooperation of many people, including those who participated and those who planned the event. Taking advantage of this experimental initiative, we will continue to revitalize the area around Kannai Station, including Odori Park.

Outline of the event
Let's go more to Odori Park.
In Yokohama, we are considering new ways to utilize Odori Park to create new attractions around Kannai Station. This time, we will conduct a demonstration experiment with the aim of utilizing the park as a base for creating bustle, which is easy for various people to use, from local people to those who visit Kannai for business and sightseeing.
In this demonstration experiment, a two-day relaxing space will appear in Odori Park in front of the south exit of JR Kannai Station, with chairs and tables that can be used freely for lunch, tea and reading people. By verifying the use of new public spaces, we will lead to efforts to revitalize the Odori Park and surrounding areas!
