Operation status of Aqua Shimbashi

Since fiscal 2004, Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau has been operating a wastewater treatment facility called Aqua Shimbashi.
At Aqua Shimbashi, treated water obtained by removing trace amounts of PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) contained in leachate to below the sewage discharge standard (0.003 mg / liter) to public sewers is discharged. The quality of the effluent has remained below the standard value.
