Protection and return of pets

　Pets protected and detained in Yokohama City will be protected and housed at the Animal Protection Center approximately 1-2 days later.
　If you can't find your pet, please contact the Animal Protection Center (045-471-2111) and the Health Sanitation Division Health and Welfare Center. Please contact police department, which has jurisdiction over your district, or your local "Koban" (police box). There may be protection information before the animal welfare center is accommodated.

[Return procedure when a lost pet is protected and housed at the Animal Protection Center]
　Please come to the Animal Protection Center after returning to Health and Welfare Center in your ward. A refund fee (4,000 yen) and a storage fee (the number of days up to the return date including the accommodation date (1,000 yen per day)) are required.
　When returning a dog that has not been registered, a registration fee of 3,000 yen is required separately.
　Please contact Health Sanitation Division in Health and Welfare Center, where you live for detailed procedures.
