About the gangrene
Anthrax is a climate disease found in Southeast Asia and northern Australia, and is caused by Burkholderia pseudomallei, which inhabits soil and surface water. To date, 19 cases have been reported in Japan as imported cases by patients who have traveled abroad. (* Nothrax does not exist in Japan.)

Recently, anthrax case via a household freshwater tank was reported in the United States.
In Japan, many ornamental fish and reptile from Southeast Asia are imported, so anthrax case may occur via imported freshwater tropical fish.
When handling the aquarium, try to prevent infection by wearing gloves, etc. just in case.
