- On April 20 (Wednesday), the Nine Prefecture City Summit Meeting was held online. Chiefs of four prefectures (Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba and Kanagawa prefectures) and five cities (Yokohama, Kawasaki, Chiba, Saitama, and Sagamihara) exchanged information on the current situation in COVID-19 infection and initiatives in each prefecture, and compiled a joint message to call for infection prevention measures for major holidays.
- In addition, in order to realize a society where children can be easily born and raised, Yokohama City has compiled the opinions of nine prefectures regarding the expansion of lump-sum payment for childbirth and childcare, and has requested the government.
- Going forward, we will continue to work together with the nine prefectures to solve wide-area issues.
