The Deaflympics is a sporting event held on a global scale once every four years for the hearing impaired. The major features are that it is an international sports tournament for the hearing impaired, run by the hearing impaired themselves, and that communication using international sign language can deepen friendship among participants.
This time, Yokohama City will participate in bicycle, beach volleyball, land, volleyball, table tennis players and staff.
