At the "Africa Development Dynamics," I gave a greeting as the mayor of the host city of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) in August next year.
At the seminar, we introduced examples of Yokohama City's efforts to achieve sustainable development with partners from Africa and Asia, and also publicized the "GREEN x EXPO 2027" as a showcase for a "sustainable and green society."
Prior to the seminar, we met with Lang Heidzlu Arnadottil, Director-General of the OECD Development Center, who is visiting Japan, and exchanged views on cooperation for TICAD9 Yokohama.
We will continue to make every effort to prepare for TICAD9 and GREEN x EXPO 2027.
