Yokohama City Council Library

The City Counsil Library is established in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act to collect and store books and materials in order to contribute to research and research by lawmakers.
Citizens can read as long as they do not interfere with the use of members of the Diet, but please note that you cannot borrow or copy books.

From 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays

※Weekdays are days other than holidays in Yokohama City prescribed in Article 1, Paragraph 1 of the Ordinance that stipulates holidays in Yokohama City.

Near the City Counsil PR corner on the 3rd floor of the Yokohama City Council Capitol

• At the reception desk, please receive the "City Counsil Library Usage Certificate" and enter the room, and wear it while using the library.
• Use for purposes other than browsing books arranged in the library, such as self-study and breaks, is not permitted.
• Please use the search terminal to search for books, etc. (You can search from the online catalog page (external site).)
• Books cannot be borrowed or copied.
• Please refrain from using the reading seats for a long time.

• Please manage your valuables by yourself. We are not responsible for any damage such as theft or loss.
• Please be careful not to stain books, etc.
• If you would like to use an enlarged reading device, please contact the library reception desk.
• Please refrain from following actions in the library.

Unauthorized photography using mobile phones, digital cameras, etc.
Telephones, etc.
　※Turn off the power or set it to manner mode, etc.
Acts that cause inconvenience to other users, such as the use of sound-producing equipment
Food and drink in the library
　※It is possible to bring in a drink with a lid and hydrate it.

• We do not lend or return books in City Library.
• In addition, when using the library, please follow the instructions of the staff at the library reception.
