A student from Yokohama City High School visited Yokohama City Council.
Last updated on January 17, 2024.
In Yokohama City Council, Yokohama municipal high school students visit City Counsil to foster the ability of the younger generation to participate in politics.
On Friday, December 25, 2023, 22 municipal high school students (Sakuragaoka, Tozuka (all day), East, South, Yokohama Commercial, Minato Sogo) visited Yokohama City Council to experience consensus building on policies, voting at the plenary hall, and five city council members (Representatives Yukie Fushimi and Kazuhiro Sekibo).
From the students who participated
・"It's not much different from us to think about what we need in our lives. I felt it was a job that was close to everyday things."
・"I strongly wished something and thought it was important to move from ourselves."
・"Because there are various members of the Diet, I knew that I could come up with various ideas and respond to the diverse voices of citizens."
