March 2023 welcome event in City Counsil, Mayor of Genedy Turhanov, Odesa, Ukraine

Mayor Ghendy Turhanov of Odesa, a sister city of Yokohama, visited the city with the aim of thanking for his support so far and further strengthening cooperation for post-war reconstruction.
On March 16, 2023, we invited Mayor Turhanov to Yokohama City Council to give a speech at the plenary hall.

"Odesa and Yokohama have continued their sister city relationship for 58 years, but we have begun to take a new page in the wake of the war." At the Yokohama City Council Plenary Session in March last year, we have condemned Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the use of force in international disputes.
