1 Town development with agriculture
Background and Purpose
While Aoba Ward is close to the city center, it is also a thriving area of agriculture in the city, and the richness of the farming town is one of the great attractions of Aoba Ward.
By discovering and recognizing the value and appeal of agriculture in the immediate vicinity, we will promote understanding of urban agriculture in Aoba Ward, position agricultural development as a guideline for town development in Aoba Ward, and aim to create an attractive city with rich nature and agriculture.
In addition, in preparation for the 30th anniversary of the constituency system in 2024 and the International Horticultural Exposition in 2027, Aoba Ward will actively promote agriculture and locally grown and consumed, which will lead to regional revitalization and attachment by deepening the interest and understanding of many people.

Start hearing with farmers in 2022
In order to receive advice on projects implemented by Aoba Ward in 2023, an exchange meeting was set up and three exchange meetings were held.

2 Learning content for elementary school students “Aoba Ward's Farming Like Book”
Background and Purpose
In the course of farming community development activities, we asked the school about locally grown and consumed's efforts in school lunch on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the constituency system, and that it was difficult to collect materials used during school lunch's eating and general learning.
Therefore, I thought that it would be possible to promote elementary school students' understanding of agricultural activities by creating content to learn more about Aoba Ward's agriculture, which can be used during comprehensive study time, and by using it in line with classes and initiatives at each school.

3 Hamana-chan Culinary Competition Aoba Mayor's Award
Background and Purpose
We pushed forward approach about "eat" and "experience" as point of contact between inhabitants of a ward and agriculture and wanted to expand relations between inhabitants of a ward and agriculture greatly while in conjunction with movement of Yokohama-shi.
Overview
Among the 2,495 works of the Hamana-chan Cooking Competition held by Green Environment Bureau, 247 entries submitted by elementary school studenｔ, a resident of Aoba Ward, were selected for the award.
In addition, the screening was conducted in accordance with the screening method and screening criteria for the Hamana-chan Cooking Competition.

I made two dishes, and the first was pork turnip soup. The second one is this selected bean curry. The reason why we made bean curry was good because curry could use various ingredients.

This time, only a few kinds of vegetables from Yokohama could be used as ingredients, so next time I would like to use about five kinds to go to the cooking contest again.

I wanted to make something that could get plenty of nutrition. To that end, we looked into what to combine. And when I made it, I was able to make it very fun, so I thought cooking was very fun. My mother thinking about the menu every day realized that it was amazing.

The key point is to use miso as a secret ingredient. I also thought about the balance of nutrition. I used Japanese miso, so I made the name of the dish "JAPANESE Komatsuna Gapao Rice". I learned to boil green vegetables in home economics study, so I boiled Komatsuna and made it toppings. I was glad to have my teacher and friends say "It looks delicious."

In order to have komatsuna eat deliciously, I added the original sweetness of sweet potatoes and onions. In addition, breadcrumbs "Paris!", Which is made by layering juicy vegetables on crispy baked potatoes and sprinkled with finishing. Now, I have made a dish that can get a lot of the "five major nutrients" needed for our growing season. Sugar, a secret ingredient, is added to make it easier to eat. The name of the dish is "Komatsuna, calcium, and protein".

I've never been interested in cooking so far. However, when I practiced cooking in home economics, I wanted to make it at home, and at that time there was a Mana-chan cooking contest and I applied. I am very happy to win the Mayor of Aoba Award.

I'm very happy to be able to win the prize! I didn't have much nutritionally balanced diet. So this time, I focused on nutritional balance. I worked hard while thinking that I should do this or that I should do it. There were a lot of difficult things, but it was very fun! I'm glad I participated!

Background and Purpose
Inhabitants of the ward feel familiar with the “landscape of a farming town” and experience agriculture, cook and eat at home (or go to locally grown and consumed support shops and eat), and buy local crops.
