Overview
It is the main temple of Shinpukuji Temple. The head is carved from a cypress Ichiki, and the inner cavity is hollowed out from the back and back. Usually, Senju Kannon is made in forty or forty-two arms, but this statue is eight arms. It is thought that there was a side at first, but there are quite a lot of repairs. However, it shows the style of the Fujiwara era well throughout, and is considered to be one of the ancient examples of the Thousand-armed Kannon statue in Kanto.
