[Reception for FY2024 has been closed] Install a seismic breaker to reduce the occurrence of earthquake fires!
Necessity of seismic breakers
About fire caused by electricity
More than 60% of the causes of fires in the past Great East Japan Earthquake (excluding unknown causes) are related to electricity.
When a strong earthquake occurs in Motoichi, it is expected that a fire will occur from electric heating equipment, etc., and at the time of electricity restoration, a fire from a broken electric cord etc. is expected.
What is a seismic breaker?
In order to prevent fires caused by electricity, it is effective to shut off the breaker during evacuation. However, such actions are not always possible in the event of a major earthquake outbreak.
A device that automatically shuts off electricity when the earthquake feels large shaking, and has the effect of suppressing the occurrence of electric fires (electric fires that occur when fires from electrical equipment or power outages are restored) during an earthquake. .
It is thought that by installing it in each household, it can be greatly reduced by preventing fires and preventing the spread of fire to other houses. .
About the type of seismic breaker
There are mainly the following types of seismic breakers.

Precautions for Installation
・Seismic breakers are not compatible with all distribution boards. It may be difficult to install depending on the type of distribution board. If it is difficult to make a decision, please contact each manufacturer.
・If you have a medical device that directly leads to the maintenance of life, be sure to have a battery that can cope with a power outage.
・If an earthquake occurs at night, turning off the lights may hinder quick and safe evacuation outdoors, so prepare emergency lights.
・If you live in a rental, you may need to restore the original condition, so please consult with the lender and install a seismic breaker.
・When returning power after a disaster, if you feel a burning smell, it is necessary to immediately shut off the breaker, check the safety again, and stop using electricity if the cause is not known.
・After installing a seismic breaker, periodically check the operation performance and replace parts as necessary.
