Naka Ward is located in the center of Yokohama's coastal area, bordering the sea on the north, east and south sides, and bordering Nishi Ward, Minami Ward and Isogo Ward on the west side.
There are many historical and cultural resources since the opening of the port, and we are creating a town to create new liveliness, making it one of the city's leading sightseeing spots. The population in the ward is about 150,000, but the daytime population can be more than doubled depending on commuters and tourists. In recent years, the ratio of foreigners and the ratio of old-age population has increased.
In Naka fire department, approximately 200 employees and 31 fire trucks are deployed at the fire department and four fire departments. In cooperation with the fire brigade and the local community, we are working to improve fire prevention and local disaster prevention capabilities.
