In Naka Ward, fires have surged since last year.
The main causes of fires are cigarettes in the first place, electrical appliances in the second place, and stoves in the third place.
・I will never sleep. Check the fire of cigarettes before discarding them.
・Fires caused by small rechargeable batteries, such as mobile batteries, are increasing. Be careful not to apply excessive impact.
・The stove does not leave the place with the fire. Be sure to put out the fire when you leave.

Overview of Naka Ward Fire (as of December 31, 2024)

In Naka Ward, 93 fires occurred during the year 2024 (up 5 from the previous year), of which 60 fires occurred (up 11 from the previous year). The main causes are fires caused by tobacco, arson (including suspicion), electrical equipment, and stoves. The air is dry and the climate is prone to fire. Pay close attention to the source of fire to protect your precious life and property.

About malfunction of automatic fire alarm system during typhoon

If a typhoon causes a sudden drop in atmospheric pressure, an automatic fire alarm system malfunction may occur. When the automatic fire alarm system is activated, please check the situation and take appropriate measures.

About repair (plan) of defective matter of equipment inspection for firefighting

Firefighting equipment inspections must be reported to the fire department once a year for specific fire prevention objects and once every three years for non-specific fire prevention objects. (Article 17-3-3 of the Fire Services Act)
If there are any deficiencies at the time of report, 1 “Notice of correction of defective items for firefighting equipment (special firefighting equipment, etc.) inspection results” and 2 “Firefighting equipment, etc. (special firefighting equipment, etc.) Inspection result incomplete items (Renovation) Report ".

New training course for self-defense firefighting operations

1 Among the new courses for self-defense firefighting duties, those who have already completed both the "Class A Fire Prevention Management New Course" and the "New Disaster Prevention Management Course" are exempt from overlapping courses. However, the effect measurement is not exempted. There is no reduction in fees.
Please note that the 2nd course will be from the second day and the reception start time will be from 9:00.
