 Based on the concept of “TECH & GLOBAL”, “TECH HUB YOKOHAMA” is working to deepen its network with overseas countries and to accumulate and create tech startups active globally. 
 On Friday, December 6, 2024, "MOBILITY STARTUP CONNECT IN YOKOHAMA-powered by The Drivery x Start2-" was held in cooperation with international start-up support organizations.
 In this event, we held programs such as pitch and networking of startups in Germany, which are considering collaboration with Japanese companies, in order to connect overseas startups and companies in Yokohama.

    By combining multiple data such as smartphones and cameras, driving risk assessment using AI technology and preventing accidents.

    Wind tunnel experiments utilizing the parallel processing capabilities of GPUs and development of fluid analysis simulation software

    Developed fibers coated with metal and polymers. EMI shielding, thermal management, and weight reduction of EVs

  • Eight startups (planned) in the mobility field in Germany will come to Japan and pitch their businesses and services!
  • From "Start2 Group" and "The Drivery Japan", international start-up support organizations, we will talk about "points to be aware of when collaborating" and "how to select startups"!
  • We also have networking with startups and participating domestic companies in the mobility field in Germany!

A technical startup support base opened on November 11, 2024. Leveraging R&D and the accumulation of engineers from global companies in Yokohama, we aim to create unicorn-class startups in the tech sector, including Clean Tech and mobility.

Start2 Group Japan Representative Director Alex Tasuke Odajima

 As a business incubation specialist, he is involved in the launch of numerous startups and the development of new businesses for companies. EDGEof, an innovation hub established in 2018, has been developing a number of innovative projects with over 15,000 visitors from more than 50 countries around the world over two years. Even now, when the physical base was closed due to COVID-19, he continues to support collaboration between companies and startups and engages in various activities that connect the innovation ecosystem between Japan and overseas.
 He is involved in innovation-related measures in collaboration with embassies and startup support organizations in various countries such as Canada, Germany, France, and Estonia, and has been involved as a mentor in many startup development programs. Tomoka Yamamoto, Managing Director, The Drivery Japan

 He is familiar with cross-border open innovation and business development between Japan and Europe. After working as a strategic planner at an advertising agency, he developed a UX platform for Europe in North Europe and Nokia, Europe. Moved to the United States and launched a map-based mobile advertising platform from scratch in New York.
 Founded in CROSSBIE in Berlin in 2020, founded CROSSBIE JAPAN in 2021, and serves as CEO of both companies.
 In The Drivery Japan, he led the support of Japanese companies in Europe and matching with European startups. We aim to create a global ecosystem by promoting innovation in the mobility field and promoting business collaboration between Japan and Europe.
 In addition, as a local partner of JETRO Berlin, he has worked to support Japanese startups and create a global ecosystem by connecting Japan and Europe.

    A veteran business incubation specialist with extensive experience in startup launches and corporate innovation. As founder of EDGEof innovation hub in 2018, he hosted over 15,000 visitors from 50+ countries in just two years, facilitating numerous groundbreaking projects. Despite closing the physical location during COVID-19, he continues to foster company-startup collaborations and bridge Japanese and international innovation ecosystems.
